TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND USE

LES MONDES D’AILLEURS – ESCAPE GAME

In accordance with Article L.441-6 of the French Commercial Code, these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use (hereinafter referred to as the “T&Cs”) are made available to all customers prior to any reservation. Any reservation implies full, unconditional, and irrevocable acceptance of these T&Cs.

ARTICLE 1 – CONCEPT PRESENTATION

Les Mondes d’Ailleurs is a real-life escape game operated by SAS LES MONDES D’AILLEURS, with a share capital of €7,500, whose registered office is located at 6 Allée Emilie du Châtelet, 14123 Ifs, registered with the French National Business Register under SIREN number 939 761 573, hereinafter referred to as the “ORGANISER”. These T&Cs govern any contract for the provision of a game room entered into between :

  • the ORGANISER, and

  • any person participating in a game session, hereinafter referred to as the “PLAYER”.

The person making the reservation is referred to as the “BUYER”.

The game space is referred to as the “ROOM”.
The reservation corresponds to a “GAME SESSION”.
The ORGANISER reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. The applicable T&Cs are those in force on the date of the reservation. 

ARTICLE 2 – DURATION AND COURSE OF THE GAME SESSIONS

The game duration varies depending on the ROOM booked:

  • 60 minutes

  • 90 minutes

Each GAME SESSION also includes:

  • 15 minutes of briefing before the game,

  • 15 minutes of debriefing after the game.

The total on-site presence may therefore last up to 2 hours depending on the mission. PLAYERS acknowledge and accept that : the GAME SESSION ends at the scheduled time, whether or not the mission is completed,

  • no compensation or extension will be granted.

ARTICLE 3 – NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND ACCESS CONDITIONS

Each ROOM is accessible to a team of 2 to 7 players maximum, depending on the characteristics of the mission. Access to the GAME SESSION is subject to presentation of the reservation confirmation email.

The ORGANISER reserves the right to refuse access to any person who:

  • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs,

  • displays dangerous, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior.

ARTICLE 4 – PLAYER BEHAVIOR

PLAYERS agree to:

  • respect the premises, sets, and equipment,

  • follow the instructions given by staff,

  • behave respectfully toward staff and other players.

Any voluntary damage or damage resulting from improper use may be invoiced and may lead to immediate termination of the GAME SESSION without refund.
No verbal abuse, physical violence, or discriminatory behavior will be tolerated. The ORGANISER reserves the right to interrupt the GAME SESSION and exclude any PLAYER who does not comply with these rules.

ARTICLE 5 – PRICES

Prices are indicated in euros (€), all taxes included (VAT included), on the website and/or at reception.
Prices are set per GAME SESSION and vary according to:

  • the room,

  • the duration,

  • the number of players.

The applicable prices are those in force at the time of reservation.

ARTICLE 6 – RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

All GAME SESSIONS must be booked in advance.
The reservation becomes final and binding after:

  • validation of payment,

  • sending of the confirmation email to the BUYER.

A deposit may be required at the time of booking.
Any remaining balance must be paid before the start of the GAME SESSION.

ARTICLE 7 – CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION

Cancellation by the customer

  • Free cancellation up to 7 days before the GAME SESSION date.

  • After this period, the deposit paid will be retained by the ORGANISER and will not be refunded. Any request for cancellation or modification must be made in writing (by email). 

Late arrival

In case of late arrival:

  • the GAME SESSION may be shortened,

  • beyond 15 minutes of delay, access to the ROOM may be refused without refund.

ARTICLE 8 – GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are valid for the duration indicated at the time of purchase.
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the BUYER has a period of 14 days to exercise their right of withdrawal, provided that the gift voucher has not been used. After this period, gift vouchers are neither exchangeable nor refundable.

ARTICLE 9 – PERSONAL DATA

Personal data collected during the reservation process is necessary for managing GAME SESSIONS.
Such data is processed in accordance with applicable regulations (GDPR). The BUYER has the right to access, rectify, and delete their personal data by contacting the ORGANISER.

ARTICLE 10 – SAFETY

It is strictly prohibited:

  • to smoke on the premises,

  • to bring food or drinks into the rooms,

  • to bring dangerous objects,

  • to damage game elements or scenery.

Safety instructions must be followed at all times.

ARTICLE 11 – PHOTOS AND VIDEOS

Team photos may be taken before or after the session and used for communication purposes (website, social media), unless the PLAYERS expressly object.
The rooms may be equipped with monitoring systems allowing game supervision, without recording the sessions.

ARTICLE 12 – APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTES

These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. Failing this, the customer may resort to a consumer mediator in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
